Package Hero game guide
Last updated: 25 September 2026. Checked against the game code of iOS 1.0.169 and Android 1.0.223.
This guide explains how Package Hero works, one topic per chapter. It is written for everyone, including players who use VoiceOver or TalkBack: every chapter is a heading, so you can jump from chapter to chapter.
Prices and amounts that we adjust from time to time are not listed here. The game always shows the current values before you buy or start something.
Getting started
You build a delivery company: deliver, earn, grow. Your vehicles deliver packages and earn coins. With the coins you buy more vehicles and upgrades, and the faster you deliver, the more you earn per shift.
The game has five tabs:
- Company: your shift, your fleet, upgrades, areas, staff and the company sale.
- Goals: achievements and special assignments.
- Team: your team (forwarder) with its weekly goal and the team leaderboard.
- League: your weekly league group and the league help.
- Shop: gold bars, the daily deal and everything you can buy with gold bars.
In the settings you can replay the introduction with “Show how to play”. The settings also hold your name, avatar, sounds, notifications, the invite code and your support code.
In the app: Settings, “Show how to play”.
Shifts and offline earnings
Your fleet delivers during a shift. Tap “Deliver” and pick a length. The shift keeps running when the app is closed, and when you come back, the game tells you what it earned while you were away.
The rate is fixed when the shift starts. Vehicles and upgrades you buy later only count from the next shift. That is why it pays to shop first and then start the shift.
You can end a shift early for gold bars. Your earnings so far are banked, and you can start a new shift right away.
How long a shift can be depends on your upgrades. The coin upgrade “Staff” and the talent “Night shift” add selectable shift length, and so does “Shift turbo” for gold bars. The extra time does not extend a running shift: pick the longer length when you start the next one.
Package Hero needs a brief internet connection. If the server cannot be reached for a longer time, the game pauses and shows how long you have been offline. It continues on its own as soon as the connection is back.
If you want, the game reminds you by notification when your offline shift is full.
In the app: Settings, section “Shift”, and the shift length sheet when you start a shift.
Currencies and progress
- Coins: earned by delivering. You spend them on vehicles, upgrades, new areas and on hiring staff.
- Gold bars: the premium currency. You get them from the daily gift, achievements, the league, your team, special assignments and in the shop. They pay for shop items, staff position three and a few other extras.
- Stars: you get them when you sell your company. You spend them in the talent tree and on vehicle upgrades.
- Pass points: fill the monthly Hero Pass.
- Fame points: earned with top three finishes in the league. Fame cannot be bought.
Your level rises with every package you have ever delivered. Each level gives +1% rate. The level stays when you sell the company.
In the app: League tab, league help, last point.
Vehicles, upgrades and areas
There are 32 vehicle types, from the on-foot courier and the bicycle up to the universe portal. Each new type delivers much faster than the one before. Every vehicle you buy makes the next one of the same type a little more expensive.
Upgrades cost coins and make the whole company better, for example “Delivery turbo” for a higher vehicle rate or “Discount pro” for cheaper vehicles. Each level raises the effect and the next price.
Areas start in your neighbourhood and reach far out into space. Each new area multiplies the rate of your entire company. New areas are added to the game over time.
Vehicle upgrades with stars
Under Prestige you can also upgrade single vehicle types with stars. Stars spent there affect only that one vehicle type, but they raise its output directly. Vehicle upgrades stay when you sell the company.
Golden packages and lucky crits
During a shift, golden packages appear from time to time. Collect them for a reward. On a lucky crit, the packages of that moment count five times.
In the app: Company tab, Vehicles, Upgrades and Areas. Settings, “Learn the sounds”, for the sounds of golden packages and lucky crits.
Every day: gift, streak, daily goal
Once a day you can claim the daily gift. First deliver one shift, then the gift unlocks. It brings coins, a gold bar and a rotating extra.
Claiming on consecutive days builds your streak, and a longer streak makes the gift bigger. If you miss a day, the streak starts over. The talent “Loyalty card” lets your streak survive missed days. Next to your current streak, the game keeps your best streak.
The daily goal asks you to deliver a certain number of packages today. The goal is set once a day, so it does not grow while you buy vehicles. Reaching it pays a reward.
The shop also has a daily deal, which changes at the daily reset.
In the app: Company tab, daily gift and daily goal.
Selling the company, stars and the talent tree
Selling your company resets coins, vehicles, upgrades and areas and grants you stars. Selling is not possible while a shift is running.
Owning stars gives no automatic bonus. Your company only gets better when you spend the stars in the talent tree. Talents you buy stay forever, across every sale.
The talent tree has three branches. You don't have to commit to one, you can spread your points freely.
- Pace branch, for active players: more vehicle rate, more lucky hits and an endless network bonus.
- Idle branch, for idle players: more offline earnings and more frequent golden packages.
- Restart branch, for a faster comeback: a head start after each sale, a discount on vehicles and more stars from your next sale.
If you want to redistribute your talents, you can reset them for gold bars.
What stays when you sell
Your talents, your level, your fame and trophies, your staff, your gold bars and everything the shop marks as “Kept when you sell your company” stay with you. A running special assignment also stays, including its progress.
In the app: Company tab, Prestige, help button in the title bar: “How the talent tree works”.
Staff
Staff becomes available after your second company sale. Staff are managers who work for you. Each one brings a trait that makes your game better, as long as they hold a position.
Positions
You have three positions, and exactly one person holds each one. Positions one and two are free for everyone. Position three you buy once in the shop with gold bars.
Applicants and hiring
Every week three new people apply. A recruitment brings you three more at any time, and they stay until you hire or recruit again. You see age, level and trait before you hire anyone.
Hiring costs coins from your earnings, depending on rarity. A recruitment costs one hour of earnings, and every further one until the next applications costs double.
Changes
Filling an empty position is always free. A few changes on an occupied position are free each week, and after that each change costs gold bars at a rising price. Experience stays with the person.
Levels and rarity
Experience counts in shift hours. Level two from 20, level three from 60, level four from 140, level five from 300 hours. Each level makes the trait stronger.
Applicants are common, uncommon, rare or epic. The rarer someone is, the higher the starting level. Whoever reaches level five with you becomes legendary and works stronger for good.
If several managers share the same trait, their values add up.
Age and retirement
Managers age for every week you played. At retirement age they retire and are then gone. Three weeks before, it shows in red on their row.
Settling in, merging, training
After being placed, a manager settles in for one hour. You cannot sell the company meanwhile. A change in the middle of a shift takes effect from the next shift.
You can merge two waiting managers with the same trait, even with different looks, names and levels. Their experience then adds up.
Training and rejuvenation are only for people who are waiting. Taking someone off a position for it costs a change.
Your staff stays when you sell the company. When you become a Legend, all managers and applications are gone.
In the app: Company tab, Staff, help “Staff explained”.
Goals: achievements and special assignments
Achievements reward milestones such as delivered packages. Many have several stages, and each stage pays coins or gold bars. Achievements stay unlocked, even when you become a Legend.
Special assignments
Special assignments become available after your first company sale. You complete two vehicle routes alongside your regular shifts and earn extra rewards.
You receive up to three offers based on your unlocked vehicle types. Open an offer and choose two of the three suggested types. You see the targets and rewards before you start, and they stay fixed for that assignment.
A milestone is reached when both routes have completed at least 25, 50 or 100 percent. The slower route decides: with one route at 100 percent and the other at 40 percent, only the first milestone is earned.
Normal assignments have no time limit. Express assignments run for 24 hours from acceptance and double the rewards of every milestone reached. You choose express before you start and cannot change it afterwards.
Rewards can be prestige stars, gold bars, vehicles, coin earnings and super fuel. Completing the final milestone also grants Hero Pass points. You collect each milestone on its own, without waiting for the whole assignment.
How often you can start a new assignment for free is shown in the assignment help. You can only work on one assignment at a time. Abandoning ends it and forfeits unreached milestones, but earned rewards remain available.
In the app: Goals tab, special assignments, help “Special assignments explained”.
Hero Pass
Playing earns pass points: start a shift (+60), catch a golden package (+20), buy an upgrade (+25), new area (+80), sell your company (+150).
Points fill the pass. Each tier unlocks a reward, and there is always a next tier waiting, all month long. The higher you climb, the more points the next tier needs.
Every tier has a free reward for everyone and a premium reward for subscribers. A new pass starts on the 1st of every month for all players at once, and you start again at tier 1.
The premium subscription works like a season ticket: while you are subscribed, the premium track unlocks automatically in every new monthly pass. It renews monthly and can be cancelled anytime in your App Store or Google Play account. If you cancel, premium stays until the end of the paid month.
In the app: Company tab, Hero Pass button, help “How the Hero Pass works”.
Team and inviting friends
A team, also called a forwarder, lets you play together. If you have an invite code, you join with it. Without a code you create your own team, which starts out empty. A team has up to 10 members.
Every week the team collects active days together: each day with at least one shift scores a point. The reward needs two things: the team reaches its target, and you are active on enough days yourself. Then your claim button for gold bars and coins appears.
The team level rises by one whenever the team reaches its weekly goal. It is purely cosmetic and grants no bonus. The team leaderboard ranks teams by packages delivered this week.
The owner can create a new invite code, which stops the old one from working, and can hand leadership to another member. If the owner leaves, leadership passes to the next member. If the last member leaves, the team is disbanded. To switch teams, leave your team first, then join with a code.
Invite friends
In the settings you find your own invite code. At every weekly reset you get a coin dividend per active friend, scaled to your rate. New players who redeem a code get a coin head start. Each profile can redeem only one code.
In the app: Team tab. Settings, “Invite friends”.
League and the Sunday settlement
Every delivered package counts toward your weekly score. Your group is reshuffled every week from up to 30 players in the same league. It is not random: everyone is in the same tier. The ranking is by packages delivered this week.
The leagues are Starter, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond. Green places at the top get promoted at the end of the season, red places at the bottom get relegated. Inactive players slide down.
The season ends every Sunday afternoon: rewards are paid, promotions and relegations apply, then a new week starts. The league help shows the exact time in your time zone.
The higher your league, the more gold bars the top places earn. A top three finish also earns a trophy and fame points, more in higher leagues.
Fame can't be bought. It stays when you sell the company. As a Legend you start over with fame and trophies.
In the app: League tab, help “How the league works”.
Becoming a Legend
Whoever finishes first in a Diamond league group is offered something only the very best can do: become a Legend. It is voluntary and irreversible, and a confirmation follows before anything happens. You can do it again and again.
What you give up
- All your progress: coins, vehicles, areas, upgrades. Your level starts over as well.
- All stars, perks and your talent tree, and your vehicle upgrades.
- Your league standing: you restart in the Starter league.
- The upgrades you bought with gold bars, the logistics center and the prestige boost.
- Your league trophies, your fame points and your daily streak, including your best streak.
- All your staff: every manager in a position or waiting, including applications.
- Your licenses: founding kit, area contracts, staff position three and Larger team.
- A running special assignment ends. Earned assignment rewards remain available, and your start for this period stays used.
What you keep
- Your gold bars stay completely intact.
- Purchased soundscapes and your Hero Pass remain.
- Your achievements stay unlocked.
What you gain
- A Legend trophy behind your name, visible to everyone in the league and in your team.
- A place in the eternal Hall of Legends.
- Each further ascent stacks another trophy.
In the app: The Legend offer after a first place in a Diamond league group.
Shop and purchases
In the shop you buy gold bars with real money. They are credited instantly. Your very first gold bar purchase can come with a one-time starter offer.
With gold bars you can buy:
- Super fuel: triples your rate for a number of minutes.
- Time-warp: instantly credits several hours of base earnings as coins, then needs to recharge.
- Logistics center: more rate with every level, without an upper limit.
- Prestige boost: more stars each time you sell the company.
- Gold bar upgrades: special upgrades paid with gold bars.
- Licenses: the founding kit (your new company starts with 10 foot couriers and 3 bicycles), area contracts (new areas cost less), staff position three and Larger team (more room for your staff).
What stays
Every shop card says what happens to it when you sell your company and when you become a Legend. There are four cases:
- Kept when you sell your company, lost when you become a Legend: logistics center, prestige boost, gold bar upgrades and all licenses.
- Always kept, even when you become a Legend: gold bars, including gold bars from the daily deal.
- Time-limited: super fuel. Kept when you sell your company, ends when you become a Legend.
- One-time coins: the time-warp and coins from the daily deal. Coins are lost when you sell your company.
“Restore Purchases” in the settings checks your earlier purchases again. The Hero Pass is managed in your App Store or Google Play account.
In the app: Shop tab. The line under each shop card.
Accessibility and controls
Package Hero is built for VoiceOver on iPhone and TalkBack on Android. Every button, number and leaderboard is labelled, and key moments are announced with a natural voice.
- “Read status” in the settings reads your balance and rate aloud.
- Without a screen reader, the game can speak purchases and earnings aloud. This option has no effect while VoiceOver is running.
- The soundscape sets the ambience during delivery. “Learn the sounds” lets you hear every game sound on its own and learn what it means.
- You can keep other apps' music playing while you play.
- The lucky crit sound can also play while VoiceOver is on. It is off by default.
- On iPhone, Siri and the Shortcuts app know three phrases: “Start a shift in Package Hero”, “How is my shift in Package Hero” and “What's my daily goal in Package Hero”.
In the app: Settings.
Account and help
Your progress is saved in the cloud and synced across your devices.
If you write to us, please include your support code from the settings. It lets us find your profile without asking for your player name.
You can delete your profile permanently in the settings. This does not cancel a Hero Pass subscription; manage that in your App Store or Google Play account.
